Ontario Landscape with a Palette Knife

Discover the freedom and expressive possibilities of oil painting with a palette knife! In this five-week course, artist Maria Iva will guide you through creating vibrant, textured landscape paintings using only a palette knife—no brushes and no solvents. Through step-by-step demonstrations and individual guidance, you’ll explore colour mixing, values, composition, light, and texture, while learning to simplify landscapes and create depth with bold, confident strokes. Inspired by the Ontario landscape, Maria will share her techniques for painting trees, rocks, water, skies, and more, helping you loosen up, build confidence, and develop your own expressive style.
